The Bishop Louis E. Gelineau Fund – Established in November 2002 in honor of His Excellency Bishop Louis E. Gelineau of the Diocese of Providence, this $1,000 scholarship was created in recognition of his many years as Spiritual Director of the Society beginning in 1977 with Union Saint-Jean-Baptiste. He continues in this position today under the auspices of Catholic Financial Life. This scholarship is restricted to a seminarian from the Diocese of Providence, Rhode Island who is in his final four years. Donations may be made to this fund.

La Fédération Féminine Franco-Américane Fund (FFFA) – Established by this group during the celebration of their 50th anniversary, the FFFA currently provides for a $1,000 scholarship that is awarded to a Franco-American woman majoring/minoring in French or in advanced French studies and who meets the criteria established by the FFFA. Donations may be made to this fund.

Cercle Jacques Cartier Fund – The Cercle Jacques Cartier Fund was established in 2004. This $1,000 scholarship is restricted to a seminarian from the Diocese of Springfield. The CJCF was founded by the members of Western Massachusetts who intrusted the Trustees with said fund to administer on an annual basis. Donations may be made to this fund.

The Brisson-Leboeuf Scholarship and the Gabrielle Caffrey Scholarship (2) – Established by Gabrielle Caffrey in recognition of her parent’s dedication to Union Saint-Jean­ Baptiste as members of Council 51 of Tupper Lake, New York as well as for the preservation of the French culture, the scholarships are restricted to students doing graduate or undergraduate work in French or students studing medicine. Mrs. Caffrey was a strong advocate for the preservation of the French language and French Canadian traditions. She wrote a book entitled, “La Canadienne: Memories of a Vanishing Culture.”

Emile Pepin Scholarship – In memory of Emile Pepin, devoted member of Chapter N002 – Woonsocket, RI and former Treasurer General of Union Saint-Jean-Baptiste, this scholarship is restricted to a student from Chapter N002 or N119, both of Woonsocket, RI or Chapter N439 of Bellingham, MA.

Nolia Pepin Scholarship – Established by her devoted husband, Emile, who served as Treasurer General of USJB, Nolia was a member of Chapter N119 -Woonsocket, RI. This scholarship is restricted to a student from Chapter N002 or N119, both of Woonsocket, RI or Chapter N439 of Bellingham, MA.

Rev. Albert H. Brindamour Scholarship – Established by Father Brindamour himself, this scholarship is restricted to financially benefit and to recognize a seminarian from St. James Parish, Manville, RI or from the Diocese of Providence RI, as a gesture of profound appreciation for the financial assistance he received from the SJBEF during his seminarian years, the reason he was able to become a Roman Catholic priest. Rev. Brindamour served as pastor of St. James Church, chair of the SJBEF Board of Educational Assistance and as Assistant Spiritual Director of Union Saint-Jean­ Baptiste and Catholic Family Life Insurance.

Bertha Gauthier Scholarship – Established by her family, this scholarship is restricted to benefit and to recognize a seminarian from St. James Parish, Manville, RI or from the Diocese of Providence RI.

Rev. Lionel Grondin Scholarship – Established by his family, this scholarship is restricted to benefit and to recognize a seminarian from the diocese of Portland, Maine.

Rev. Lionel McKeone Scholarship – Established by Father McKeone himself, this scholarship is restricted to benefit and to recognize a seminarian from the Diocese of Portland, ME.

Rev. Lucien McKeone Scholarship – Established by his brother Rev. Lionel McKeone, this scholarship is restricted to benefit and to recognize a seminarian from the Diocese of Portland, ME.

Doctor Andre and Mrs. Madeleine Fortier Scholarship – Established in their memory, this scholarship is restricted to benefit and to recognize Franco-American seminarians from the state of Maine.

In honor of and in memory of Paul and Ora Rodrigue who served as officers or active members of Chapter 53 Taunton, Massachusetts. This scholarship is awarded to a student of Chapter 53 – Taunton, MA or to a student who is a resident of Massachusetts and whose ancestors immigrated to the US from the Province of Quebec.

In honor of Council N143 – Rumford, ME – This scholarship is restricted for the specific purpose of awarding a scholarship or scholarships to members or students from Rumford, Maine or Oxford County, Maine. In the event there is no member or student in a given year from Rumford, Maine or Oxford County, that the scholarship be awarded to either a member or student residing in the State of Maine or to a seminarian from the Catholic Diocese of Portland, Maine who is in his final four years of study.
